Life is not fair

When I was a child
I learned life wasn't fair
it made me mad
many times

Yet now
as an adult
I embrace the challenge

Because it is not fair for
YOU, and YOU, and YOU and ME
I am not the chosen one
but a student
of life
like everyone else

dealing with it
can be a challenge

so now,
coping with it,
even when it isn't fair

proves,
that I am no longer
a child
